The awesomeness of this 6th century building has converted Norse royalty to Christianity. It has been a cathedral, a mosque and finally a museum. When it was constructed, the Byzantine Emperor Justinian was heard to remark that Solomon (of temple fame) would be envious. This is Istanbul’s (Constantinople’s) Hagia Sophia. It really is amazing: I can understand the reverence.
