Before you is the breakfast nook of a cave hotel in the ancient village of Goreme. This town was once called Macan. The Christians who came here seeking shelter from Arab raiders gave it the new name of Goreme, which means “you cannot see here;” probably in reference to their need to hide. I feel differently – look at the colorful beauty I found in Goreme.
