The healing power of the Bath hot springs had been recognized for centuries before anyone built a formal spa here. The nourishment of the water is being used again in a new facility. It’s not this one, though. Only the Romans (and later some English) languished in the treatment rooms of this complex. This one can be used by the imagination alone, I’m guessing everyone who has toured the Roman baths and circled the main pool has been tempted, if only for a second, to dive in.
