Castlebay, the main town on the Isle of Barra (Scotland) is not what you’d call a metropolis. There’s no city stress in this Hebridean town, no commotion greater than when the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry pulls into port to deposit passengers, supplies and mail. There are a lot of sheep, many dogs and not so many people here. What a wonderful place. It gets a little windy, but being able to walk around the town at 4 am if you wish makes up for that.
