I’m intrigued by the Neolithic view on death. Scholars today call this structure a portal, a doorway to another world. Perhaps that’s what it was designed to be. No one really knows. There was no written language back then. Anthropologists and their cohorts have to guess at what prehistoric people were thinking. But you know what? This looks a lot like a doorway to me, and Portal Tomb sounds a lot better than Balanced Rock Tomb, so I’ll go with the popular theory.
